조 바이든 행정부가 코로나19 진단키트 무료제공을 다시 시작한다고 발표했다. 달라스모닝뉴스와 AP에 따르면 바이든 행정부는 연말연시를 맞아 코로나19 감염증가 대한 비상계획을 발표하면서 진단키트 재배포를 결정했다.
행정부는 지난 추수감사절 이후 코로나19 감염사례가 눈에 띄게 증가했고 이에 따라 크리스마스와 새해를 전후해 실내모임 및 여행자 증가는 코로나19 감염 증가로 이어질 수 있다고 우려했다.
