오스틴 상공회가 올해 상반기 오스틴으로 본사를 이전했거나 확장한 기업 리스트를 공개했다. 2021년 상반기에만 40여개의 회사가 오스틴에 진출 및 확장했고 4월에만 20개가 넘는 회사들이 오스틴에 새터를 잡았다. 오스틴 상공회는 각 기업들의 구인정보를 토대로 올해 총 1만명에서 1만 2,000명 사이 직원을 신규채용할 것으로 전망했다.
오스틴 상공회는 “오스틴이 새로운 IT 혁신도시로 기업들의 이주 속도가 더 빨라지고 있다”면서 “이로 인해 오스틴의 지역 경제성장에도 도움이 될 것”이라고 내다봤다.
