The North Texas Korean Chamber of Commerce (Chairman Sang-Yoon Lee) is becoming a model for facilitating private sector exchanges between Korea and the U.S.
On the 29th (Monday), the North Texas Korean Chamber of Commerce played a key role in signing a mutual cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with BSR Group, a global consulting company from Korea, and the Irving Chamber of Commerce. This agreement laid the groundwork for Korean government-supported startups to enter the U.S. market.
The Korean government, through the Research Development Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Science and ICT, supports competitive startups to foster their growth. BSR Group, acting as a comprehensive trading company, collaborates with the Research Development Promotion Agency to aid these startups in entering the U.S. market. Recently, they have selected 10 outstanding companies and started promoting them in the U.S.
As a global marketing company, BSR Group operates export support programs such as overseas procurement consulting, global marketing, and global technology commercialization for government agencies, institutions, and medium to small-sized enterprises both in Korea and abroad.
On the 29th (Monday), with the help of the North Texas Korean Chamber of Commerce, BSR Group visited the Irving Chamber of Commerce. They presented the competitiveness and products of 10 startups and promised mutual cooperation for their future entry into the Texas market. Officials from the Irving Chamber of Commerce, after experiencing and examining the technology and competitive products of the Korean startups, predicted that these companies would achieve good results not only in the Irving-Las Colinas market but also in the broader North Texas market.
The North Texas Korean Chamber of Commerce is highly regarded for actively utilizing its network to propose concrete methods for Korean companies to enter the Texas market. Even if global marketing is pursued through a consulting company, the assistance of local Korean businesspeople is essential for specialized marketing tailored to the region.
Therefore, the North Texas Korean Chamber of Commerce plans to continue to be a bridge for private sector exchanges between Korea and the U.S. by supporting and collaborating with local organizations and institutions suitable for Korean companies aiming to enter Texas.
