In a push to showcase the global appeal of Korean culture, South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched a worldwide online campaign and video contest encouraging participants to share personal stories of comfort and connection through K-culture.
The initiative, titled “Vibe with us,” invites people from around the world to reflect on how elements of Korean culture — whether it be food, music, literature, television or a place — helped them through difficult times.
The campaign is being led by KOREAZ, the Foreign Ministry’s digital platform designed to promote South Korea “from A to Z,” and includes a social media challenge and a global content competition open through October 26, 2025.
Under the theme “Finding comfort in everyday life,” participants are asked to submit vertical-format videos (9:16 ratio, 1080×1920 resolution, minimum 30 seconds) that highlight their experiences with Korean culture offering emotional support or inspiration. Submissions may be in any language.
A panel of Foreign Ministry officials and external judges will select winners based on creativity, relevance to the theme, and impact. Prizes include:
Grand Prize (1) – South Korean Foreign Minister’s Award and a special gift
Excellence Awards (2)
Merit Awards (3)
Special Recognition (1)
Results will be announced in November 2025, and winning entries will be showcased on KOREAZ’s global channels, including YouTube, Instagram, and X.
In addition to the contest, a companion Instagram challenge asks users to upload stories under the @mofa_koreazaccount’s campaign highlight. Users can add their photos or videos, tag friends, and share how Korean culture brought them peace.
The ministry says the goal is to foster a sense of community and solidarity in a time of global instability and isolation.
Participants under the age of 14 must have parental consent to enter.
