비즈니스 검색 및 정보, 고객평가를 제공하는 옐프(Yelp)가 미 전역을 대상으로 탑 100 지역사업체를 발표했다.

옐프는 “미국 지역경제의 원동력은 소상공인을 비롯한 지역사업체다. 2023년 3월부터 2024년 3월까지 ‘지역 비즈니스’ 검색이 124% 증가했다”며 “전국기업보다는 지역 기업에 대한 선호도가 높아진 것”으로 분석했다. 

옐프는 고객들의 검색 및 평가를 기준으로 자동차, 뷰티, 패션, 음식 등 총 10개의 카테고리에 10개 사업체가 이름을 올렸다. 이중 텍사스는 총 5곳이 포함됐다.

텍사스에서는 5곳중 4곳이 광역오스틴 지역사업체가 선정됐으며 휴스턴 지역사업체 한 곳이 이름을 올렸다.

광역오스틴 지역사업체는 자동차 부문과 홈데코, 홈 리페어, 반려견 케어 부문이며 휴스턴은 패션 부문에서 10위권에 포함됐다.
